VPN Connection (Windows 8.1)

1.       Click on the “Start” button in the lower left

2.       Search for VPN and select “Manage Virtual Private Networks”

3.       Select “Add a VPN”

4.       In the following boxes please enter VPN Provider: Microsoft

Connection Name: MSU VPN Connection

Server Name or Address: vpn.montana.edu

Type of sign-in info: User name and password

User Name: Your NetID

Password: Your NetID password

Remember my sign-in information: Check or uncheck

5.       Left click on “Save” and your VPN connection should be set up.
